Tech brand Vivo has today launched its new smartphone Vivo Y200 Pro in India. This mobile is equipped with the power of 64MP Camera and 5000mAh Battery, whose rate is Rs 24,999. Last year in 2023, the company had launched the Vivo Y200 5G phone of the same series, regarding which questions are being raised whether money should be spent for the new Y200 Pro or the old Y200 5G is better. Specifications difference
PROCESSOR
Vivo Y200 5G phone was launched on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 octa-core processor. It is a mobile chipset built on 6nanometer fabrications that includes cores ranging from 1.8GHz clock speed to 2.0GHz clock speed.
Vivo Y200 Pro smartphone has entered the market with Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 octa-core processor. This is also a mobile chipset built on 6nanometer fabrications which can run at 1.8GHz clock speed to 2.2GHz clock speed.

Both Vivo Y200 and Y200 Pro smartphones work on LPDDR4X RAM + UFS 2.2 ROM technology. In these, physical RAM, virtual RAM and internal storage are all the same. Here Vivo should have done a better job with its ‘Pro’ model. It would have been nice to have the option of 256GB storage.
Operating System
Vivo Y200 5G phone was launched on Android 13 which worked together with Funtouch OS 13. The new Y200 Pro smartphone has been launched on Android 14 OS with which Funtouch OS 14 has been provided.

Y200 Pro will also be said to be upgraded in terms of OS and UI. This mobile has been launched on the latest Android and the brand's newest user interface.

Vivo Y200 5G phone has been launched on a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with 2400 × 1080 pixels resolution. This phone has a punch-hole style screen which is made on AMOLED panel and works at 120Hz refresh rate. Along with 800nits peak brightness and 394PPI, this phone also has in-display fingerprint sensor technology.
Vivo Y200 Pro smartphone has been launched on a 6.78-inch FHD+ punch-hole screen with 2400 × 1080 pixels resolution. This is a 3D Curved Display which is made on AMOLED panel and supports 120Hz refresh rate. Along with in-display fingerprint sensor technology, this mobile has features like 1300nits peak brightness and 388PPI.

For selfies and video calling, the phone has a 16MP Front Camera with F/2.0 aperture.
Talking about Vivo Y200 Pro, it also has dual rear camera setup on its back. It also has a 64MP OIS main camera with F/1.79 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor with F/2.4 aperture. A 16MP Selfie Camera with F/2.45 aperture is provided on the front panel of Y200 Pro.

The new Vivo Y200 Pro has been launched in India for Rs 24,999. It has 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. Whereas the old Vivo Y200 with the same RAM and memory is being sold in the market for Rs 21,999. There is a difference of Rs 3 thousand in the price of both the smartphones.
Is Vivo Y200 Pro better than Vivo Y200?
The new 'Pro' model definitely proves to be better in display. Talking about the processor of both the phones, there is not much difference between the AnTuTu and benchmark scores. Other features and specifications will also not be called major upgrades. Now it depends on the personal wish of the users whether they would like to spend Rs 3,000 extra for the new model or prefer to use last year's model.
